Find Your Study Space

May 4, 2022

Need a place to study for an exam or to complete that final project? If so, we have collaborative and quiet spaces to offer. Be sure to consider the following spaces within our building as your study needs change during the week.

Group Study
Our recommended space for group study is the first floor (lower level) and BioCommons. Find large tables, comfortable furniture and moveable dry-erase boards for drafting and visualizing content or process (request markers from our Circulation Desk on the entrance level!)

Rooms to Reserve
Find rooms to reserve on the first floor. Use the Study Room Reservation system to log in (with NetID) and place your reservation.

Quiet Study
Our dedicated quiet study space is our topmost, 4th floor. Find cozy carrels and large tables with view to the lakeshore. Please note that due to occasional traffic to stacks and the Archives offices, we are unable to maintain this area as “silent” study. If needing a designated silent study area, we recommend College Library (Room 3191 South).

Need equipment to get the job done?
We have calculators, laptops, molecular model sets, cameras, headphones, and more!

Need a break to pause and reflect?

Our building’s “Reflection Space“ can be found on the third floor, along the windows above our front entrance. (Photo accompanying this post offers a glimpse at this space).

And, lastly, be sure to check, in advance, the hours at your destination library. Many of our libraries extend their hours of operation during Study Day and exam week.
