Spaces at College Library

The acquisition and maintenance of greenery in College Library is made possible through the John M. Gaus Fund. Plants improve both building aesthetics and air quality and we appreciate the support.

• Active Learning Classrooms

  Combine collaboration-friendly, multi-use spaces with classroom technologies to create an innovative learning commons where informal student gathering meets formal class instruction

• DesignLab

  Consultants help students design smart media such as video essays, theory comix, scientific posters, and presentations

• Floor Plans

  First, second and third floors at College Library. Study areas include icons indicating noise level allowed

• Media Studios

  Support semester long courses that integrate collaborative digital projects into their curriculum

• Other Instruction Spaces

  Information about two other formal instruction spaces at College Library: rooms 1193D and 2257

• Recording Booth

  A pilot service supporting the recording of vocal audio available for reservation in Room 2256 of the computer lab

• Reflection Space

  An alcove in the northwest corner of Room 2191 serves as College Library’s designated reflection space

• Student Services Area

  Provides space on the first floor that can be reserved to reach the students using College Library

• Study Spaces

  With options to meet any study need, see an overview of all the varieties available

• Wellness Room (Lactation)

  College Library’s Wellness Room is available to anyone needing to pump or feed their baby. It is a private, lockable space with comfortable seating and an electrical outlet
