Recording Booth

College Library is pleased to announce the launch of a pilot service: a recording booth is now available for reservation in Room 2256 of the computer lab.

The space includes:

  • Furniture appropriate for 1 or 2 people to do a vocal recording.
  • Two condenser microphones and a mixing board.
  • Sound absorption paneling, high absorption ceiling panels, sound containment between the spaces.
  • A quick start guide with a link to a feedback form.

Reservations, currently limited to 1 hour at a time, are required and can be made through the study room reservation system. Look for “Reserve an Audio Recording Booth” after you log in to the system.

Users can record directly onto their own laptop. A Mac or Windows laptop can be borrowed from the computer lab if you don’t have a device.
