Digital Salon

November 26, 2018

The 10th Annual Digital Salon is now accepting submissions from UW-Madison graduate and undergraduate students. The fall deadline for early acceptance is Thursday, December 13. Please submit your work for review online. The final deadline for acceptance will be Friday, March 15, 2019. This year’s Digital Salon exhibition will be on display in Open Book, Room 1250, at College Library from April 12-21, 2019.

The Digital Salon brings together students, faculty, and staff to showcase artistic and research-based projects that take digital form or rely heavily on information technology in the production process. These projects are made available in an online collection and exemplars are displayed in a ten day-long exhibition. The collection and exhibition are organized and managed by UW-Madison Libraries and DesignLab.

Videos, graphic novels and essays, websites, blogs, infographics, posters, digital imagery, and other new media work by UW-Madison undergraduate and graduate students are presented in the online collection, and offered as a resource for faculty and students looking for inspiration from their peers. Once a year, College Library’s Open Book features work from the past year’s submissions in a week-long exhibition. This year, the exhibition runs from April 12-21, 2019.

The Undergraduate Symposium is another opportunity for undergraduate students to showcase their research, creativity, and service-learning activities from all areas of study at UW–Madison. More information is available on their site.
