Celebrating Digital Media
The Digital Salon brings together students, faculty, and staff to showcase artistic and research-based projects that take digital form or rely heavily on information technology in the production process. These projects are made available in an online collection and exemplars are displayed in a week-long exhibition. The collection and exhibition are organized and managed by UW-Madison Libraries and DesignLab.
Experimental videos, graphic novels and essays, websites, blogs, multimedia installations, posters, other new media work by UW-Madison graduate and undergraduate students are presented in the online collection, and offered as a resource for faculty and students looking for inspiration from their peers. Once a year, College Library’s Open Book features work from the past year’s submissions in a week-long exhibition. This year, the exhibition runs from April 9 – 16, 2017.
