About the Digital Salon

The digital image, Americanah, by Chris Kolmorgen received “Best-in-Show”

The Digital Salon is an online collection of new media projects by UW-Madison undergraduate and graduate students showcasing artistic and research-based projects that take digital form or rely heavily on information technology in the production process. Work includes videos, animations, graphic novels or essays, websites, blogs, multimedia installations, infographics, posters, and much more.

Every year in the spring, the best projects from the past year are displayed in an exhibition in College Library’s Open Book Collection, Room 1250.

The Digital Salon is an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to showcase digital projects that they created in their role as students at UW-Madison. Work is curated by a committee of UW-Madison faculty and staff.
