Updated hours May 13 for Libraries’ Staff Appreciation Day

In recognition of UW–Madison Libraries’ Staff Appreciation Day, many of our locations will be closed or have reduced hours on Wednesday, May 13. We’ll use this time to gather from our distributed spaces across campus and celebrate our many achievements serving students, staff, and the community.
Reduced Hours
Some libraries will remain open but offer reduced hours:
- College Library will be open from 2–6 p.m.
- Memorial Library will be open from 5–9 p.m.
Closed
Some libraries will be closed all day for this staff event, including:
- Kohler Art Library
- Gender and Women’s Studies Librarian’s Office
- Mills Music Library
- Social Work Library
- Steenbock Library
- UW Archives
- AOSS Library
Digital and walk-up Ask A Librarian services will be closed for the day.
Other libraries will maintain regular hours and services. Visit our Locations page to review our hours of availability before you visit.
