  • After you donate online with a major credit card to the Friends of the Libraries, go to www.go.wisc.edu/borrowcard and fill out the online borrowing card application.  Select “Friends of the Library” as your affiliation. You will receive an email notice when your borrowing card is ready and what you will need to bring with you to pick up your card.
  • All General Library System cards will be valid one year from the date they are processed. Cards can be renewed 45 days prior to their ending date.
  • Please keep in mind that once your new borrowing card is activated, your previous borrowing card will no longer be valid. Thus, it is imperative once you receive notice your library card is ready that you come and pick it up as soon as possible
