Zotero: The secret to easier papers

February 20, 2026

Don’t leave your Works Cited section for the last minute. Join UW-Madison Librarians for a 45-minute Zoom workshop that will introduce you to Zotero, a free tool used by researchers at all levels to quickly cite and save sources. With Zotero, you can:

  • Add formatted citations into your paper as you write
  • Organize, annotate, and color-code your sources 💅
  • Instantly create a Works Cited list at the end of your paper

Librarians will walk you through the quick installation process and teach you the features that will help you make the most of Zotero. This workshop will not be recorded.

The UW-Madison Libraries are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible event. If you need any accessibility accommodations to attend or participate in this event, please let us know by emailing Jessica Newman at jessica.newman@wisc.edu by March 5. We will attempt to fulfill late requests but cannot guarantee they will be met. This is an online session, and Zoom captions will be turned on.
