Publish Open Access with Springer (Hybrid Journals)

Our librarians are pleased to announce that UW-Madison, as a member of the Big Ten Academic Alliance, now has a read/publish agreement with Springer, enabling our authors to publish open access in hybrid journals at no cost.

This agreement with Springer:

• Includes Springer hybrid journals (link opens spreadsheet) and not its Nature titles or those that are fully open access,
• Requires that the corresponding author be from UW-Madison or a participating BTAA school and,
• Applies to articles accepted between April 1, 2025, through December 31, 2026.

Eligibility is determined at the time of article acceptance and corresponding authors should use their wisc.edu email address to indicate their affiliation. Please contact Carrie Nelson, Head of Scholarly Communications, with any questions you may have about this agreement.
