Library Support at a Distance

March 23, 2020

Our librarians are available to provide support during this campus transition to distance access and delivery of its signature services. As you will see across our Libraries site, there is a banner, above, with links to information about library resources and services available during this time—a “dashboard” for news and updates, our instruction resources to support your teaching and learning, and a page of information about the breadth of library resources available remotely (online) for our community of library users.

Additionally, you will see links directly to the Ask a Librarian chat, email and texting services. Your librarians with Steenbock and our affiliated Science & Engineering Libraries will be staffing these platforms, too. When emailing using the Web form, you can choose a specific library to receive your message. You can also choose to chat with a specific library by selecting that library from those actively-staffing by clicking the Ask a Librarian icon below the top banner (and to the right) on the Libraries’ site. Currently, our librarians with Steenbock will be staffing its chat service, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.

You may also email our subject librarians directly or identify a staff member to contact by browsing our staff by library location. We regret, that at this time, we are unable to provide services by phone but can work with you to consult through additional Web conferencing platforms.

We recognize that these are challenging times; we will do our best to collaborate with you and to support your work.
