UW Family Gardening Day, May 4

April 30, 2019

Spring is here to stay (or, at least, we hope)! On Saturday, May 4 (10:00 AM-1:00 PM), Steenbock Library and BioCommons, along with partners from Allen Garden, D.C. Smith Greenhouse, Wisconsin Energy Institute, Extension Master Gardeners, and the Botany Garden & Greenhouse, will welcome campus and community guests to find inspiration for gardens, large and small, with tours, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.

Look for BioCommons Ambassadors hosting garden-themed games and face-painting and our Steenbock staff suppling information about campus and community gardening collections, venues and services. Library staff from Art and Special Collections will be joining us again this year with botanical arts and crafts.

Gardening Day event tents and tables will be outside, near the front entrance to the library and in Room 240. For more information about UW Family Gardening Day, visit the Science Outreach or Facebook pages.
