Got Visual Data? Enter the 2019 Cool Science Image Contest

February 1, 2019

Share your work and your passionate interest in science by contributing an entry to the 2019 Cool Science Image contest.

The contest is open to currently-enrolled UW-Madison students, faculty and staff and can depict objects or phenomena from any discipline.

Visit the site for details about how to enter (and to complete an entry form). Entries, which are judged on their “aesthetic and informational qualities”, will be accepted from January 31 until the deadline date, March 15, 2019.

Winners will be announced in April and receive gift certificates, a large format print, and the honor of having their work exhibited at the McPherson Eye Research Institute’s Mandelbaun and Albert Family Vision Gallery.

For inspiration, browse the winners from the 2018 contest online and those from 2016 that grace the walls at Steenbock Library (first floor corridor near elevator and the stacks near vending).
