Need a break from studying? Celebrate a scary Halloween with the UW–Madison Libraries! There’s creepy things going on all over campus.

CollegeLibraryPumpkin

The College Library is holding its 15th Annual Great Pumpkin Contest! Guess the pumpkin’s weight WITHOUT touching it, picking it up, shifting it, or taunting the pumpkin and you could win $100. Entries are due by tonight, October 30th, at 11:59 p.m. Go to College Library or email them here. (And even if you don’t win, pick up some candy at College!)

Check out our #SpookyUW Pinterest board featuring some chilling novels to cuddle up with on this foggy night.

UWDCC is hosting a contest, trying to discover the spookiest image from its collection! Vote through likes and comments on the UWDCC Facebook page.

UW Archives has a Flickr set devoted to students in costume, including some great Halloween costume ideas. This pumpkin likeness was also found in the UW archives (what else is in that place??).

And don’t forget to follow the #SpookyUW action on Twitter!

How are you going to scare someone this Halloween?
