This bibliography is number 71 in the series “Wisconsin Bibliographies in Women’s Studies,” published by the University of Wisconsin System Women’s Studies Librarian’s Office, 430 Memorial Library, 728 State Street, Madison, WI 53706.
It was originally compiled in July, 1995 by Melba Jesudason with assistance from Janet Rother-Harris of College Library at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The internet resources were last updated and added to on July 13, 2018, by Karla Strand, the GWS Librarian.
The Glass Ceiling Bibliography is divided into three sections which can be accessed via the links on the right of this page:
- Internet Resources,
- Books and Government Documents, and
- Articles from magazines, newspapers, and academic journals.
The Articles section is subdivided into these categories: General, Minorities, and specific fields such as Business, Colleges and Universities, Law, Police, Politics, Sports, and State and Federal Government. Coverage for articles in the Government category mainly begins in the 1990s, with an occasional addition from the 1980s. The length of the articles is mostly more than a single page, unless single page articles are editorials or deal with pros and cons of the issue.
