Faculty teaching art-related courses place print reserve materials for their classes at the Kohler Art Library. Print Reserve materials are located behind the Circulation Desk. Lists of reserve materials are usually provided to students by their instructors, and can be accessed via a student’s MyUW portal. In addition, a notebook at the Circulation Desk lists print reserve materials by instructor and course number.
Requesting Items: Request materials by call number from the library staff at the Circulation Desk. Only two items may be checked out at any given time. A valid borrowing card is required for check-out.
Loan period: Reserve items are charged out for two hour periods. There are no renewals. After an item has been returned and reshelved for a minimum of 15 minutes, it may be charged out again to the same student. If an item is checked out within two hours of the library closing time, the item is due back the next day.
Fines: Fines for overdue reserve materials are $2.00/hour per item, with a maximum of $50.00 per item.
For electronic reserves, check your MyUW portal. General information on reserves is available at: https://www.library.wisc.edu/services/course-reserves-materials/
