All Campus Libraries, Except West Corridor in Memorial Library, to Close to the Public

Updated March 18, 5:50 pm

Dear Colleagues,

I am sharing further information about the Libraries’ response to the COVID-19 situation. As this event continues to change, colleagues across campus are working to ensure maximum health and safety, as well as find solutions for ongoing library operations that support the continuation of instruction and research.

In close consultation with campus leadership and health officials, the Libraries will minimize face-to-face interaction by implementing the following steps beginning Wednesday, March 18:

  • Closed to the Public: All other campus library spaces, including Memorial Library. **Laptops and requested materials will be provided for pickup between 12pm-4pm at the Memorial Library entrance (M-F).**

Additional information about how the Libraries are managing due dates, as well as other services can be found here. Updates to this information are continuously being made.

This is a constantly changing situation. Please monitor the campus COVID-19, as well as our Libraries’ COVID-19 site.

Thank you for your remarkable work during this time. The uncertainty and stress require a significant expenditure of emotional, physical, and mental energy. Your efforts working together and your concern for each other and our users enable the Libraries to operate from a position of strength. Be well, continue to take care of yourself and your families, and know we are all working to find the best path forward in this unfamiliar territory.

Sincerely,

Lisa Carter
