Access to Libraries and Collections • Make a library appointment at Art, Business, Memorial, Music, Steenbock, or Wisconsin Historical Society Library, examining materials shelved in reading rooms and in library stacks. You can check out items from circulating collections at the circulation desk.
Access to UW Archives, Special Collections, and Wisconsin Historical Society Archives Reading Rooms • Make an appointment to examine and work with materials shelved in their unique collections.
NEW: Computer Lab Reservations • Make an appointment to use a computer in the Memorial Library Computer Lab in an environment that follows campus and CDC guidelines for physical distancing.
Pickup by Appointment • Items from AMP, Art, Business, College, Geology, Law, Memorial, Middleton Shelving Facility, Music, Science Libraries Shelving Facility, Social Work, Steenbock, Verona Shelving Facility, and Wisconsin Historical Society can be put on hold, and then an appointment can be made to pick up the materials at Memorial Library. Appointments available 1-5 pm weekdays.

Our library staff are available to provide research support or answer questions by text, chat, and email. Click on the Ask button at the top of any library web page, or go to our help page.
Librarians can support your teaching in all modalities. These services includes online library instruction options, customized research guides, and embedded services in Canvas. Expertise and support for electronic curricular content is also available.
If you only need some chapters or specific pages from a book, you can place a request using our Interlibrary Loan service. Log in to your account, choose the option to Request an Article, and fill out the form with the book chapter’s information as best you can.
Laptops are available for checkout from 9-12 and 1-5 pm on weekdays at the Memorial Library entrance on State Street.
