Michael Enyart, Director of the Business Library, Honored by the Special Library Association

Michael Enyart, Director of the Business Library, was awarded the Distinguished Member Award ​​from the Business & Finance Division of the Special Library Association. Enyart was recognized during the 2015 SLA Annual Conference in Boston​ on June 14-16.

I was very surprised that I received the award and feel somewhat humbled in light of the other people in the past that won the award.  My tendency is to think that what I have accomplished was not good enough,” Enyart said.  “I was fortunate at the conference to run into some of my respected colleagues that have won this award and the complimented me and mentioned that the recognition has been long overdue.”

Since 1985, the Business & Finance Division has presented its Distinguished Member Award to an outstanding member who has worked in the profession for more than 25 years. This award is intended to honor individuals who have made exemplary contributions to the field of business librarianship throughout the course of their career.
