New Game Consoles

College Library is pleased to announce the availability of new gaming consoles available via reservation for UW-Madison affiliates. Recently added to our holdings are a PlayStation 5 console, an Xbox Series X console, and two OLED Nintendo Switch hand-held devices. In addition to the consoles, the Libraries have purchased additional controllers which patrons can check out for up to four players.

For information about the models available for check-out, please see our “Reservations” page. From there click on the blue “Submit a Reservation Request” button -> select “College Library” as your Checkout Center -> choose the option “Other Hardware” -> followed by “Consoles-Reserve” to request one of these consoles.

In addition to hardware, College Library is adding video games for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X to our collection housed in Open Book, Room 1250. Recent purchases for both platforms include: Dead Space, Hogwarts Legacy, FIFA 23, Elden Ring, Madden NFL 23, and The Witcher 3.
