E-Readers Now Available

December 8, 2010

College Library now has Kindles and iPads full of e-books for you to borrow! As part of a pilot project to build a collection of e-books, the library now has ten e-readers available to circulate. To request a pre-loaded device, simply fill out our online E-Reader request form. We’ll contact you when one is ready for you to pick up from College Library’s main circulation desk for a two week check-out. There is no renewal, but you are free to place another request.

The e-books on our readers have been selected to meet undergraduate recreational reading interests. To help build a bigger library of e-books, undergraduate borrowers can suggest up to $20 worth of new e-books. College Library will add your suggested titles to our permanent e-book collection for you and everyone who borrows an e-reader after that. For titles currently available, see our account in Library Thing.

As with laptops and other equipment, students are responsible if the e-reader is lost or damaged. And since this is a pilot project, users may be asked to provide feedback on the service.
