UW-Madison Faculty & Staff

UW-Madison faculty and staff (including retirees and emeriti) use a current, valid UW-Madison ID to borrow materials and have the following library privileges:

• Borrow and renew materials from UW-Madison and Universities of Wisconsin libraries – see loan periods below
• Place requests for physical items and partial digital copies from UW-Madison and Universities of Wisconsin libraries
• Place requests for physical items and partial digital copies from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan
• Remote delivery of requested items to work or study locations outside of Madison
• Designate faculty runners to borrow and pick up requested materials on your behalf
• Access databases, full-text, and other digital resources both on- and off- campus
• Borrow equipment at InfoLabs circulating locations
• Reserve study rooms at campus libraries

Retirees and emeriti (faculty and staff) may continue to access the same library privileges with your current, valid UW-Madison ID. You must opt to retain access to campus facilities while completing retirement paperwork with your HR representative. If the retirement paperwork has already been filled out, your HR representative can send an email to retiredID@ohr.wisc.edu requesting that campus facilities access be retained.
