A Closer Look

We invite you to take a closer look at our new exhibit Natural History :: Natural Philosophy, on display in Special Collections through early June. The exhibit, designed to complement Martha Glowacki’s exhibition at the Chazen Museum of Art (March 3 – May 14, 2017) and the symposium on “Art-NATURE-History” (March 3 – 4) organized by Prof. Lynn Nyhart of the History of Science Department, highlights holdings both of Special Collections and of the Historical Collections at Ebling Library.
The magnified eye is from Margaret Bryan’s Lectures on natural philosophy (London: T. Davidson, 1806), also included in our exhibit.
