Library Services Expanded To Allow More Than 1 Appointment Per Day

February 7, 2021

UW-Madison students, faculty, and staff using our Library by Appointment services can now book multiple appointments in the same day for most services.

For example, if you want to study at Steenbock Library in the morning and in the evening on the same day, that is now allowed. Or, if you need to print something at Memorial Library this morning and then again in the evening, you can make both appointments.

We are excited to be able to expand our services in this way, addressing one of the most common questions we received last semester. We will be monitoring traffic and capacity in case adjustments are needed.

These reservations are in high demand, and we ask users to cancel appointments they can no longer attend. To cancel an appointment, log in to https://appointment.library.wisc.edu and your appointments will appear in the right column (or at the bottom of your screen on a phone). Click on the Cancel this appointment link to allow someone else to use that service.

This change allows for multiple appointments in the same day for these services:

  • Computer Labs
  • In-Person Collections Access
  • Print / Scan
  • Study Spaces

Because of their limited quantity and very high demand, One-Person Study Room appointments remain limited to 4 hours per person per day.

As always, if you have questions or comments, feel free to contact us using our Ask a Library service.
