Introduction to OER: A Library Brown Bag

  • Library workers are encouraged to attend this Introductory presentation on open educational resources, the history of the open education movement, current issues, and the role of the OER Librarian.

Textbook (In)affordability Student Panel

  • Wednesday, March 4, 2020
  • Steenbock Library | BioCommons | 4:00pm-5:30pm
  • Student leaders, librarians, and faculty members will be in conversation around textbook affordability and explore open educational resources as an alternative to high cost materials. Students will have the opportunity to write postcards to instructors to express the negative impact of expensive textbooks on their lives.

Open Textbook “Farmers’ Market”

  • Throughout Open Education Week a roving display of open textbooks and resources related to open education will travel between various UW-Madison library locations. Check out the materials and let us know your thoughts at our new Twitter account @UWOERLibrarian
