The 6th annual Digital Salon is on display in Room 1250, Open Book, at College Library from April 12-18. The exhibition brings together students, both undergraduate and graduate, to showcase artistic and research-based projects that take digital form or rely heavily on IT in the production process.

According to Rosemary Bodolay, Associate Director of DesignLab, the curated exhibition accepted 87% of works received in their semi-annual call for submissions.  When assessing the projects, the committee was pleased at the diversity of media forms submitted for review. Among the featured work are animations and digital paintings, documentary videos and infographics, class projects and independent creations.

When asked about hosting the exhibition at the undergraduate library, director Carrie Kruse replied, “We have seen an increase in student digital media projects being a regular part of the academic experience. College Library has responded to this by expanding various ways we support such projects, from equipment check-out and poster printing to the inclusion of Media Studios and DesignLab in the library. We’re so happy to partner with DesignLab to showcase the best of this student work each spring. It’s inspiring to see what students are capable of creating.”
