Foodie Fun at the Steenbock Library

September 24, 2013

Steenbock Library hosted a great party this past Friday that not only showed off their extensive cookbook collection, but also treated guests to good food and a fascinating talk. This foodie party included a demo from Chef Kevin Appleton of how to easily make delicious vegan and gluten-free spring rolls, cream puffs made by Debra Shapiro using a recipe from The Flavor of Wisconsin (WHS Press), and then a talk from culinary scholar Traci Nathans-Kelly called “Porcupine Meatballs: Finding History in Community Cookbooks.” Staff, faculty, students, and community members alike all came out to enjoy an educational Friday night!
