Mills walls: bare no more!

August 11, 2016

The walls of Mills Music Library have been bare for many years–at least since the 2007 renovation, when they were painted two shades of yellow: mustard and ghee. They are bare no more! The walls are alive with the sights of music!

We have selected and framed images from some of our Special Collections–including the 78-rpm Sound Recordings Collection, the Tams-Witmark/Wisconsin Collection, the Wisconsin Sheet Music Collection, and the Visual Materials Collection–in order to give patrons a glimpse of the treasures we have in our holdings. We also included a University of Wisconsin-Madison Marching Band photo from University Communications and a photo by Mills Music Library staff member Ron Wiecki. We intend to rotate images in order to showcase our wide array of materials, so be sure to come in regularly to see what all is on the walls.
