Services for iSchool Distance Education

Distance Education Services

The Information School Library offers many services to students currently enrolled in the distance education program. These services are intended to reflect the same aspects of circulation, reference, and instruction available to on-campus students.

Reference Services

The staff of the Information School Library is available to field reference questions from distance students in a number of ways, including:

Course Embedded Workshops

Information School instructors may request for the Information School library to provide workshops to distance students. These workshops often utilize Adobe Connect, and are connected to the learning objectives of the distance courses. Past workshops have included a presentation on the elements of design, online “office hours” to answer questions about Jing videos, and instruction in the use of Google Spreadsheets.
