      Holding History: The Nature of the Book
      5:30 pm-7:00 pm
      Students, university partners, and community members are invited to join us on Tuesday, April 4th at 5:30 pm for our next Holding History event. In 2017, we draw particular attention to the environmental history of media by exploring what books are made from and how humans have captured our relationships with, and reflections on, nature within their pages.

      Join us April 8 for a tour, lunch, printing demonstration, and see the new home of the Silver Buckle Press. Registration deadline is March 17. A bus will depart Madison at 8am for Two Rivers, WI, returning to Madison approximately 6pm.

      Join distinguished University of Wisconsin-Madison faculty member William Cronon for an evening celebrating the rich history of UW-Madison Libraries at the Wisconsin Historical Society. 5:30 PM: Registration 6:00 PM: Social Hour (Enjoy pairings of Botham Vineyards wine with Uplands Cheese. Specially crafted Wisconsin delicacies will be served by the University Club chef.) 7:00 PM: Presentation by William Cronon 8:00 PM: Dessert & coffee
