UW-Madison has a network of Equity and Diversity Committees housed within each academic and major administrative unit on campus. The Libraries Equity & Diversity Committee will serve as the EDC of the General Library System and will participate in and represent the GLS for campus EDC activities, including EDC Chairs meetings.
The committee will be responsible for the overall implementation of the Diversity Task Force recommendations, guiding and tracking the work of established sub-groups on specific recommendation work. The EDC facilitates communication across and among the subcommittees and assists them in achieving their goals. An EDC member is assigned as a liaison to each of the subgroups.
