College Library is hosting this Wisconsin Welcome event for students to learn about the various learning support services available to help you be successful in your classes. Offered early in the semester, before midterms, finals, or due dates for big class projects, this is an opportunity to get some hands-on skills to support your coursework and to learn about the resources you can use throughout the academic year. Meet tutors from the many learning centers on campus and find out how they can support you. With music, games, free food, and prizes, you can have fun while you learn!
20-minute mini-workshops include:
- Note-taking – (GUTS): 4:30-4:50 and 5:30-5:50
- Time management – (GUTS): 5:00-5:20 and 6:00-6:20
- Visual design basics – (DesignLab): 4:30-4:50 and 6:30-6:50
Software Training for Students offers a regular series of workshops in College Library. Join the Resume Building with Canva workshop during the event (5:30-6:30), and see the full STS schedule for additional topics.
Attend one or many of these workshops, and enter your name for prizes! Stop by College Library anytime between 4 pm and 7 pm and get connected with the resources to help you succeed.
