Seeking Security Officer

The General Library System is now recruiting a Security Officer for a position that will be housed in College Library. 

Join a collaborative and welcoming atmosphere at the undergraduate library at UW-Madison! During second shift hours (4pm-12:30am) Sunday-Thursday, the person in this position creates relationships with library patrons and staff, builds community, and maintains security at College Library and other campus libraries as needed. Professional development opportunities are available to support growth, communication, and decision-making that will positively impact the experiences of library users and staff. 

While based in College Library, this position also conducts routine security rounds to identify, report, and potentially resolve security issues in Steenbock and Memorial Libraries or other libraries across campus as needed. Administrative tasks related to closing the library, keys, and lost and found are included in this position.
