Remodeling-Phase II

Beginning Monday, May 13, College Library enters Phase II of the remodeling project dedicated to improving the number and quality of restrooms for library patrons as well as upgrading the HVAC system to make it more efficient and responsive to actual occupancy. As a result, visitors to College Library during the spring interim will encounter a number of newly launched projects.

MEN’S ROOM ON 1ST FLOOR EAST / WOMEN’S ROOM ABOVE IT ON 2ND FLOOR EAST

  • the women’s restrooms on Floors 1, 2, and 3 will be closed as demolition begins on 1st & 2nd floors
  • the men’s room on 2nd Floor has been converted to a women’s restroom until Phase II is completed (likely some time around the 4th of July)
  • the newly-remodeled 3rd floor men’s restroom will re-open by Monday, May 20

COMPUTER LAB AT COLLEGE IS CLOSED UNTIL MONDAY, MAY 20

  • the computer lab (Room 2250) is closed from May 11-19 for HVAC upgrades
  • there will be no poster printing or 3D printing at College Library during this week
  • Memorial Library’s Computer Lab is also closed during this same time period
  • for laptops, other equipment, and poster printing please visit Steenbock Library or check availability & locations using the Equipment Checkout System
  • all equipment checked out from College Library is now due on Monday, May 20
  • if necessary, equipment may be returned to the Info Desk on the 1st Floor of College Library
  • laptop workstations and color printing are available in WisCEL, Room 3250

1ST FLOOR HAS BEEN RECONFIGURED · ASK QUESTIONS AT THE INFO DESK

  • portions of Room 2191 are also unavailable due to HVAC upgrades
  • the reserve collection has been consolidated into three rows of shelves nearest the windows
  • the self-service hold shelf has been moved to the south east wall of 1st Floor Center
  • during construction, the number of computers linked to the print station has been reduced
