January SOAR

January 22, 2018

Expanding upon its new partnership with the Division of Student Life, Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR), for the first time College Library hosted January SOAR for transfer students and those starting at UW-Madison in the spring semester. On January 17, 18 and 19,  various spaces within the library were once again repurposed for advising sessions:

  • College of Agriculture & Life Sciences – Room 1193D
  • College of Engineering – Room 2252
  • College of Letters & Science – Room 3250
  • Cross College Advising Service- Room 1250
  • School of Business – Room 3255
  • School of Education – Room 2257
  • School of Human Ecology – Room 2191E
  • School of Nursing – Room 3262
  • School of Pharmacy – Room 2191E
  • SOAR Consultants – Rooms 1209 A, B, C

While advising occurred at the library, most other aspects of SOAR took place next door in the Memorial Union. College Library staff are delighted to have the opportunity to introduce new students to the library on campus that is dedicated to serving undergraduate information needs. And we encourage all of them to stop back when the view of Lake Mendota is less glacial!
