Now on display on the 3rd floor of College Library is a display of poetry books from the Gaus Collection. The collection is named in honor of Professor John Gaus, who was chair of the Political Science Department at UW-Madison from 1940-44. It contains modern British and American poetry, literary studies, and books on the art of creative writing. In fact, a number of the titles in the collection were donated from Gaus’s personal library and include his signature inside the cover.
All of the books in the display can be checked out for at least 28 days. Stop by and take a poetry break!
