Welcome Ryan!

College Library recently hired a new overnight supervisor to keep the library running from 12am to 8am during the week. Ryan Claringbole has lived in Wisconsin for over 25 years, but just recently moved back to Madison from Chesapeake, Virginia, which is a part of the Hampton Roads metropolitan area.

Ryan actually grew up in La Crosse and received his BA in English from the UW there. He went on to get an MLIS and MA in History at UW-Milwaukee before moving to Virginia to work at a public library. According to Ryan, “I do my best to stay current with emerging technology and movies, books, games, etc. I’m always willing to offer suggestions for books or movies to enjoy, so please ask!…I might suggest some anyway (fair warning).”
