Activist to Speak on Immigrant Experience

On Monday, Oct. 10, at 4pm, Nancy Garcia, an activist who works directly with migrants at the Center for the Orientation of Migrants (COMI) in Oaxaca, Mexico, will discuss the dangers that Central American migrants face on their journey north. Entitled “How Enrique’s Journey Is the Journey of Thousands More: A Firsthand Look at the Risks and Rewards Awaiting Immigrants from Central America,” Nancy and her translator will be in Open Book (Room 1250) for a fascinating lecture and discussion.
