Don’t Let Stress “Bug You”

December 1, 2008

College Library tries to make the lives of students just a bit less stressful during exam period by sponsoring a series of events from Friday, Dec. 12 through Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008. Partnering with the Wisconsin Union, the Open Book Café is offering free coffee, tea and hot chocolate from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday, December 12. The next day the Office of the Dean of Students will provide free coffee and donuts (while supplies lasted) for GUTS Study Day which is scheduled from 12-8 p.m. on the 13th. Sunday, Dec. 14, there is “shout-out for success” day at the library with graffiti boards and haiku submissions, while on Monday the library will provide origami paper and instructions for folding what we hope will be 1,000 paper cranes (don’t we all need good luck?). The rest of the week there will be stress balls/toys, drop-in yoga, and a perpetual favorite – free candy. And, Bucky Badger might make an appearance or two.
