Chemistry Information Commons is partnership between the Chemistry Department and the UW-Madison Libraries that promotes collaboration, inquiry, and interaction. Located on the 2nd floor of the Chemistry Building’s North Tower, this modern space provides a place for students and staff to work, study, and collaborate. The Chemistry Librarian’s office is embedded in the Commons in order to provide point-of-need assistance to researchers. The full suite of services and spaces within the Commons are provided below.
UW-Madison Libraries provide online access to scholarly literature and other research resources. Chemistry literature and databases with chemical structure searching are available for public use within the Commons.
A small reference book collection is available in the Information Commons, primarily consisting of handbooks, indexes, and reference titles not available online. Items are in-library use only.
