Search Tips

Tips for Business Source Complete: Enter a country name in the first search field, then scroll down to Publication Type and select the Report and Country Report checkboxes. Or use the Browse sidebar at the right of the search page and select the link for Country Reports.

Tips for CountryWatch: For Culture, select your country in the Quick Links drop-down box, then select Cultural Etiquette in the left sidebar under the Social Overview section. For News, select Country Wire or Intelligence Wire for news and political intelligence.

Tips for Nexis Uni: On the main screen, use the Search in all News box to search by country name, then on the results screen use the Narrow By limiters to filter your search (Country & Region Reports is available under Publication Type). Or select All Sources from the Menu drop-down at the top of the screen, then use the Search Within Sources box to search by country name or by source name such as BBC Monitoring, BMI Country Risk Report, Business Monitor International, and PRS Risk Guide & Service.

Business Premium Collection (ProQuest)
The most comprehensive business offering, comprising all content from: ABI/INFORM Collection; Accounting, Tax and Banking Collection; Asian and European Business Collection; Business Market Research Collection; and Entrepreneurship Database. With global coverage in business and economics, the collection features thousands of full-text journals, dissertations, and working papers, as well as trade publications, market research reports, and key periodicals such as the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Economist.

Market conditions, opportunities, regulations, and business customs for over 125 countries prepared by trade and industry experts at U.S. embassies worldwide.

Doing Business (The World Bank)
Provides objective measures of business regulations and their enforcement across 189 economies and selected cities at the subnational and regional level. The detailed subnational reports provide data on the ease of doing business, rank each location, and recommend reforms.

J.P. Morgan Research (ProQuest)
The database features thousands of analyst reports covering over 3,000 global companies and all industries. Derived from Morgan Markets – which is J.P. Morgan’s exclusive information for key clients and investors – these reports are made available to academic users for education and research purposes. Coverage is 2011 to current with a one week embargo. Lengthy reports cover equities and company performance, global and regional economics and financial strategy, foreign exchange, commodities, liquidity, and emerging markets.

Nexis Uni (formerly LexisNexis Academic) offers access to more than 17,000 news, legal and business sources, including print and online journals; television and radio broadcasts; newswires and blogs; local, regional, national and international newspapers with deep archives; extensive legal sources for federal and state cases and statutes, including U.S. Supreme Court decisions since 1790; and business information on more than 80 million U.S. and international companies and more than 75 million executives. Contains facts and analysis on the governmental and political makeup of more than 200 countries and territories throughout the world. Detailed profiles of more than 120 intergovernmental organizations and UN agencies are also included.
