What to Expect

FLEXIBILITY! The Ambassador program is designed to accommodate busy student schedules. With both in-person and online options, you can easily reach your volunteer goals.

The process is SIMPLE:

• Apply online
• Attend an Orientation meeting and pick up your Libraries swag and Handbook
• Provide your photo and bio for the Engagement Ambassador’s website and social media
• Choose your engagement opportunities for the semester
• Participate in monthly meetings to learn more about Libraries, make friends, connect with Library staff, and find out about additional engagement opportunities
• Submit your engagement record by finals week to earn a certificate, maintain your Ambassador status, and attain leadership positions

The perks are REAL:

• Participate in highly visible campus events
• Sharpen leadership skills while helping others use the Libraries effectively
• Build friendships through shared experiences and discussions
• Demonstrate outreach successes with measurable social media analytics
• Generate connections with Libraries staff for reference letters, resumes, and career exploration
• Develop a lasting appreciation and understanding of Libraries
