Libraries Student Ambassador Program

The Library Ambassador Program is temporarily paused.

Ambassadors are undergraduate and graduate volunteers who are library advocates! As the Libraries’ biggest fans, their mission is to increase student familiarity and usage of UW-Madison Libraries campus-wide.

Being a Library Ambassador is a fun way to earn volunteer recognition. You can do it in-person or remotely, and it’s an easy resume-booster! Commit per semester to participate in Libraries’ outreach efforts – either on campus or develop and share social media content – to earn engagement credits for certificates, swag, and leadership opportunities. In the process, you’ll learn how to leverage the powerful resources, spaces, and services of the Libraries to super-charge your studies and those of your friends!

Semester Commitment 1-2-3

TRAIN UPDATE ENGAGE
1 90-minute orientation 2 60-minute meetings 3 documented opportunities

Ambassadors are encouraged to engage with the Libraries beyond the minimum requirements, which means the hours will vary. You should anticipate investing at least 10 hours per semester in the program and could accrue considerably more. The more you engage, the more you will experience the benefits of being a Library Ambassador!
