To complement the exhibition “Martha Glowacki’s Natural History, Observations and Reflections” in the Chazen Museum and the Burdick-Vary Symposium “New Illuminations: Art-NATURE-History” organized by Prof. Lynn Nyhart through the Institute for Research in the Humanities, Special Collections featured an exhibit drawing on our own rich holdings in the fields of natural history and natural philosophy. The exhibit included titles that have informed or inspired Glowacki’s work, both from Special Collections and the Historical Collections of Ebling Health Sciences Library, along with other illustrated works from the Thordarson Collection and other collections in history of science.
