Join UW-Madison Libraries in celebrating Open Education Week 2020! OE Week was founded in 2013 by the Open Education Global. The goal of Open Education Week is to raise awareness and showcase impact of open education on teaching and learning worldwide. Open Education Week has become one of the most foremost global events recognizing high achievement and excellence in open education.

Introduction to OER: A Library Brown Bag

Library workers are encouraged to attend this Introductory presentation on open educational resources, the history of the open education movement, current issues, and the role of the OER Librarian.

Textbook (In)affordability Student Panel
Wednesday, March 4, 2020
Steenbock Library | BioCommons | 4:00pm-5:30pm

Student leaders, librarians, and faculty members will be in conversation around textbook affordability and explore open educational resources as an alternative to high cost materials. Students will have the opportunity to write postcards to instructors to express the negative impact of expensive textbooks on their lives.
