Libraries Leadership Council

The Libraries Leadership Council offers ongoing input and perspective on evolving issues in the UW-Madison Libraries, with campus partnerships, and related national organizations.

The goals of the Libraries Leadership Council are to:

  • Advise the Dean and Vice Provost of Libraries on matters related to library leadership and administration.
  • Participate in the creation and stewardship of strategic directions
  • Undertake projects to advance library innovation and priorities
  • Develop community and open communication among library leaders
  • Provide endorsement of initiatives when requested by the Dean and Vice Provost of Libraries.
  • Serve as a conduit to communicate initiatives and goals with their constituents: library staff, university staff, faculty, and students.
  • Provide feedback from their community members to the Dean and Vice Provost of Libraries.

Members

Membership is composed of the following, who serve at the request of the Dean of Libraries: the Executive Team, Heads of UW-Madison Libraries reporting to schools and colleges, Centralized Libraries Public Services, the Libraries Technology Group, and the Wisconsin Historical Society as our Partner. The council members are:

Vivian Robinson, Executive Assistant to the Dean, will be the notetaker and timekeeper.
