The University of Wisconsin-Madison Libraries magazine highlights news, events, exhibits, collections and other issues of interest within the UW-Madison Libraries. It also showcases our development work with the University of Wisconsin Foundation, our wonderful donors, and special news from the UW-Madison Friends of the Library.
In the Spring 2018 issue, we have a lot to cover! First, we want to wish our Vice Provost for Libraries and University Librarian, Ed Van Gemert, a happy and well-deserved retirement. Vice Provost Van Gemert has worked in library service for 47 years, with more than 35 of those at UW. In this issue we also catch up with our Diversity Resident Librarians, our Information Specialist Internship Program graduates, look into Mills Music Library for a taste of regional music treasures, take a trip around the world as an orchestra in the U.K. credits the UW-Madison Libraries for bringing a forgotten operetta back to life, hear from long-time Friends of the Library board member, Mary Rouse, and so much more. Read on for those stories, and more! For a pdf click here. (Photo credits Mark Stimpson Photography, UK / Gregg Richards)
