This initiative is focused on guiding the library staff and other stakeholders’ understanding of the broader context of library space planning and how it connects with their work, research and study.
Strategic communications and outreach, led by the Vice Provost for Libraries, will update staff on the capital planning process and the prioritization of library space projects. The University Library Committee and other campus stakeholders will receive a similar update in the fall semester. A goal of this initiative is to help the GLS Administration establish a way to provide ongoing updates on space planning to stakeholders with opportunities for feedback. The focus of this initiative is on current project priorities that advance the long-term space plan as well as improve collections stewardship.
