UW Family Gardening Day, May 7

May 2, 2016

Put some spring in your step with a visit to our neighborhood, Saturday, May 7.  From 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM, the D.C. Smith Greenhouse, Allen Centennial Garden, BioTron and Steenbock Library will welcome campus and community guests to find inspiration for gardens, large and small, with tours, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.

Steenbock staff and its partners from the BioCommons, Dane County Seed Library and Wisconsin’s Water Library will supply aspiring gardeners with information about their respective collections and services.

Look for our tents and tables, outside, near the front entrance to the library. When you enter our building, you will also have an opportunity to browse a selection of titles from our gardening collections (accompanied by beautiful banners supplied by the Cooperative Extension Master Gardener program office).
