Citizen Science

February 25th, 2016

Citizen Science is an endeavor in which scientific knowledge is advanced through the collaboration of professional researchers with engaged members of the public. Citizen scientists lend their passion and skill to observe phenomena, record data, and assist, actively, with researchers in the field.

Steenbock Library has created a new research guide to bring together selected resources that speak to citizen science as a topic of scholarship and a community of practice. While opportunities abound, it has been the intent of this guide to identify and to link to programs, projects, and educational tools (library collections and services) from within our “neighborhood”–our campus institution, Wisconsin and the Midwest.

Librarians create research guides to assist library users with finding resources to the research literature and to other useful information available on particular disciplines or topics.  Visit our Steenbock menu of guides or the research guide menu for campus libraries.
